The Authors

Anthony Stewart

Anthony Stewart is the author of Visitor: My Life in Canada. His other books include George Orwell, Doubleness and the Value of Decency and You Must Be A Basketball Player: Rethinking Integration in the University. Mr. Stewart is a native of Ottawa and currently a professor of English at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania . For 17 years he was a professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

David Austin

David Austin is the author of Fear of A Black Nation: Race ,Sex and Security in Sixties Montreal winner of the 2014 Casas De Las America and winner of the silver medal at the 2014 Independent Publisher Book Awards . Mr. Austin has produced documentaries on Frantz Fanon and CLR James for CBC Radio’s Ideas. He teaches in the Humanities, Philosophy and Religion department at John Abbott College in Montreal and is currently working on a book that explores the intersection of poetry, theatre and social change.
