Fagan captures the long days and delight of youth.
“Where do ideas come from? How do they become stories? Author Cary Fagan shows how he takes a small idea and grows it into a story or even a novel series. He shows how events from his own childhood have been the spark that begins a new book and encourages kids to find the stories inside them just waiting to come out. He talks about the life of a writer, about working with illustrators, and may include a surprise "show and tell" item or two.”
Workshop for writers in grades 4-7.
