The Life and Times of Robbie Burns
with John Ivison and Pauline Mackay
Burns for Every Day of the Year, covers a wealth of subject matter and gives fresh insight into his views on politics, love and religion, as well as the inspiration he drew from nature and his interest in the supernatural.
We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Scottish Society of Ottawa for a special celebration of the life and work of Robbie Burns on the 225th anniversary of his passing.
Join us for a conversation between Dr. Pauline Mackay, author of Burns for Every Day of the Year and John Ivison, author of The Riotous Passions of Robbie Burns. They’ll discuss their research, the “passionate” side of Burns, and his international influence on Scottish culture.
