Thomas Lynch’s poems take us under the apparent world to where consciousness is alive and shimmering with joy and loss, blindness and epiphany.

Billy Collins

We’re thrilled to announce that Plan 99 is back for readings by poets Thomas Lynch and Jean Van Loon at the Manx Pub.

Thomas Lynch spent his career as an undertaker in Midwest America?and in his off-hours became a writer of exceptional insight. Publishers Weekly calls him, “A poet with something to say and something worth listening to.” His latest, Bone Rosary, is a collection for readers who love all life’s questions and mysteries?big and small.

Jean Van Loon’s father was a metallurgist in an Ottawa lab that contributed to the Manhattan Project. Rooted in memory and history, Nuclear Family carries the reader into the sense of impending nuclear doom and the explosions of material wealth that shaped Van Loon’s childhood.

Books are available from our friends at Perfect Books.

Please note that the Manx is asking patrons to mask when not seated during this event.
