Hélène Gaudy, born in Paris in 1979, is a French writer whose career has been marked by a solid artistic education and a diverse literary career. Her first novel, Vues sur la mer, was published by Impressions nouvelles and was shortlisted for the Prix Médicis in 2006. Her other novels include Une île, une forteresse (2016), Plein hiver (2019), and Un monde sans rivage (2021). Each of these works reflects her interest in places and their influence on stories, as well as her ability to create immersive and poetic atmospheres. Archipels (2024) is a poetic reflection on memory and family ties. It was selected the same year for the Prix Goncourt des lycéens and was a finalist for the Prix Goncourt 2024.

She also publishes books for young people, often combining text and images, a combination that reflects her initial training in visual arts. Her commitment is not limited to writing. Hélène Gaudy leads writing workshops for various audiences, including patients, migrants, students and residents of retirement homes.
